The Dementia Training Australia logo is based on the concept of a journey – the learning pathways of individuals and organisations, and movement of knowledge itself into practice. The journey concept is visually represented by the ‘ribbon’ style of typography for the ‘d’, ‘t’ and ‘a’ , linking to create a visual pathway.
A subsequent feature of this design is the abstract representation of a face with a look of concentration – evoking the individual learner. It also alludes to the acceptance that dementia is an area that affects the mind and brain.
The colour green was selected as evoking hope and growth: a fresh new approach to national workforce training, with goals for quality care and living for people with dementia and their families.
