This workshop will be useful to experienced RACF senior clinicians who are responsible for leading their staff in improving care of people living with dementia, specifically those experiencing responsive behaviours. It is focused on helping you to:
- Identify issues that may be contributing to the provision of less than optimal resident care.
- Establish effective, sustainable systems to build staff capacity to recognise, assess, monitor, resolve or reduce issues that create and magnify resident discomfort.
- promote resident dignity and comfort and increase staff and family satisfaction.
The workshop assumes core knowledge of the principles of person centred care and responsive behaviours.
