The workshop will explore who LGBTI people are, their lived experience and discrimination. It will cover the decades of history, LGBTI people in the context of dementia, and identify inclusive dementia and aged care services.

This workshop aims to assist health professionals caring for Aboriginal people living with dementia. We will explore the use of tools and resources that promote health and wellbeing and the impact they can have.
The workshop will give participants an understanding of what Younger Onset Dementia is, who it can affect, the importance of effective communication and how to support the wellbeing and rights of a person living with Younger Onset Dementia.
This workshop will increase participants’ awareness of the latest research on PTSD and traumatic brain injury associated with dementia, discuss the role alcohol can play in the management of mental health and it’s consequences, provide you with the latest tools and strategies available to help in the care of a veteran with dementia.
